Ripon Chiropractic ClinicNow Offering Latest Laser Technology For Pain
Dr. Tvedt and Judy, owners of Ripon Chiropractiic Clinic There is now an alternative to complicated and ineffective treatments for people who experience pain in their daily lives. Ripon's own Dr. L. M. Tvedt of the Ripon Chiropractic Clinic is among the first doctors in the central valley to offer nonintrusive therapeutic laser treatments with the K-Laser, a remarkable device for the treatment of acute and chronic pain. So far the success rate has been above 90 percent. Several patients were so
taken by it that they referred to the laser as 'nothing short of a miracle.' It was due to a recommendation of a close chiropractic friend that got Dr. Tvedt involved with the K-Laser. He called Dr. Tvedt several months ago and told him he had to come to his office to witness something that was almost unbelievable. Dr. Tvedt went to his office and observed as patients were treated and ask the patients questions. The patient's positive response was amazing. Dr. Tvedt decided that same day that his patients needed this new technology. He purchased the K-Laser and became certified within the next two weeks. "We have inundated ever since," he says. Many people make appointments after hearing about a friend or family member's success story from the treatments.

The K-Laser therapy works well for a variety of conditions: arthritis pain, joint pain, muscle pain, nerve pain, neck pain, low back pain, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, shingles, disc herniations and post stoke pain. "Therapeutic laser" received their first FDA clearance in 2002, known as "low-level" or "cold" laser, the early ones were shown to be only minimal effective in the treatment of pain and injuries in clinical trials. But all of that changed with the introduction of the K-Laser's FDA clearance: Class-IV therapeutic laser technology. The power in these Class-IV lasers is up to 1,500 times greater than the earlier ones. The new lasers also offer up to 20 times the penetration depth without creating discomfort for the patient. Dr. Tvedt has seen the power of the laser at work and through discussions with other doctors who are using them. "What's remarkable about this laser is that we're all getting the same results." he says, calling the laser the "most remarkable technology development" he has seen in 30 years. Dr. Tvedt has had a Chiropractic clinic in Ripon for 30 years. He has specialized in muscular-skeletal conditions that involve the nervous system. The K-Laser gives him an opportunity to reduce or eliminate both acute and chronic pain from conditions that he could not help before.
