Spot On: The Pulse of Laser Therapy
Searching for Relief?
Ms. V states that her gallbladder exploded in 1993 and that she had had a stomachache for as long as she could remember.
At one time she was even fearful it might be cancer due to the pain she had experienced her entire life. She would get these bouts of severe pain, 2-4 times per month, and would last for anywhere from 15-45 minutes. There was no warning when an attack would occur and the pain was so severe that she could not take a decent breath in or out and would send her to the emergency room for treatment.
She had been to the emergency room in Vallejo, CA; St. Mary's in Stockton, CA; Reno, Nevada; John Muir Hospital, Oakdale, CA; Sonora, CA and several others over the years. The doctors were never able to give her a clear diagnosis, but always stated that if she would lose weight the pains might go away.
Her Kaiser medical doctor (MD) stated that it was probably IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Her primary MD in Oakdale, recommended going on a diet, and avoid certain foods since it could be a food allergy. The doctor also asked if she could come in during an attack, to better understand them. That was not going to be easy, since she lives up in the hills an hour outside of town.
While in our office for her chiropractic treatment, she had another attack. We recommended she try a laser treatment to help reduce the pain. Since her initial laser treatment Jan. 28, 2008 she has had no other bouts of abdominal pain.
She had one follow-up visit a week later. Ms. V states that during the attacks the pain was so bad she would lay on the floor, praying to God to just let her die to stop the pain. She is so grateful to have her life back and not have to worry about the attacks.

Back on Course
Skip is from Modesto and has suffered with lower back pain for the last 7-8 years.
Initially Skip injured his back while working on a barge, doing heavy equipment repair, which required repetitive heavy lifting. He tried everything, from physical therapy, which he went to 2-3 times a week for nearly a year, to acupuncture.
None of the treatments gave him any lasting relief. The medical doctors basically gave up on him and prescribed Vicodin and Norco, which he took up to six times a day to control the pain.
Two weeks ago, he bent over to pick up a pencil and his lower back went into such spasms that he could barely move and required the use of a cane to walk at all. He scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hall, on the advice of his son, who had gotten great results from his laser therapy treatment.
After only one upper cervical adjustment and laser therapy session, he no longer had to take the medications he had been relying on for years. He received four more laser sessions over the next 12-days and his pain has decreased from a level 10 (on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest) to a 2.
Skip felt so good he even went golfing yesterday with no increase in his pain level. He can't believe he spent so many years in pain, and it only took a couple weeks to get better using laser therapy and adjustments. He states he feels great and is glad to have his life back. Bilateral Foot Pain
Patient Testimonial
Debra L. from Riverbank, California, has had bilateral foot pain off and on for the last 10-years.
She had been given non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication by her M.D., but that didn't help at all. Ice packs gave her some temporary relief. She tried some orthotics about 3-years-ago, which gave her a little relief for a while but the pain returned and became severe about 6-months-ago.
A friend recommended laser therapy, after she had gotten relief from an ankle injury. Debra noticed a significant difference after just two weeks of laser therapy. Her pain is minimal after four weeks of treatment and has maintained that minimal level with once a week visits.
She enthusiastically recommends laser therapy to her friends and family with aches and pains that haven't responded to "normal" treatments. Labels: anti-inflammatory, bilateral foot pain, drug alternative, healing, laser treatment, pain relief
Immediate Results
Mr. White has had severe lower back pain for the last 3-weeks. He was unable to stand up straight, lift his right leg, tie his own shoes or even put socks on. He also was unable to bend forward at all, or lay down without excruciating pain.
He had tried prescription medicine from his M.D., with no relief. The x-rays showed some mild degeneration, but nothing that would explain his severe pain. Neurological and orthopedic examination revealed significant nerve impingement and muscle spasm in the right lower lumbar region.
Mr. White was very skeptical that a laser treatment could help alleviate any of his pain but with a little encouragement, decided to give it a try. His pain started to dissipate during his first treatment. He continued to feel relief on his 30-minute drive home and was able to get out of his car without pain for the first time in weeks.
He received two more treatments over the next week and was pain free by the third treatment. He is very happy he decided to try laser therapy for his lower back pain. Labels: laser therapy, lower back pain, lower lumbar, muscle spasm, pain relief
Alexis' Seatbelt Abrasion
Patient Testimonial
Seat Belt Abrasion after roll-over vehicle accident
6 days later, following three laser treatments at C5 setting. 13 days post injury following 5 laser treatments
Alexis, a 19 year old female, presented with a moderate-to-severe chest pain with seat-belt abrasion, most prevalent over the anterior chest wall.
"I came to Dr. Mik after a car accident left me with not only neck and back pain, but a huge seat belt abrasion across my chest. Not only was it ugly and embarrassing, it was so painful I could not even put a bandage on it."
"Right away Dr. Mik suggested laser treatment. I was willing to do anything to help it heal faster. Three days after the first treatment my wound was a quarter of the size it had been, and the chest pain was minimal."
"One week later, after two more treatments, my abrasion was almost completely gone with no chest pain. I am very satisfied with the successful (and amazing) results of the laser treatments. Thank you, Dr. Mik"

Regained Freedom
Patient Testimonial
"I have had low back pain for the last 20-25 years. The pain has gotten progressively worse for the last 10-15 years. The pain gets so bad that I have to take time off of work for 3-4 wks, several times per year for the last few years.
My chiropractor referred me to Dr. Logan for laser treatment a few months ago and I can't believe how much better I'm feeling. I had forgotten how many things I had given up doing due to the pain in my lower back. I am extremely happy with the results I've gotten with the laser and so grateful for the freedom I've regained in my life.
Thank you Dr. Logan and to the wonderful staff at Stanislaus Chiropractic Center."

A Healed Heel
Patient Testimonial
I've had heel pain for the past few years and was at my wit's end. I could barely walk by last September.
I had tried cortisone shots. They were very painful and only worked one time and that only lasted a couple of months. I tried some custom made shoes that were over $150.00/pair and when they didn't help much tried another pair that were over $200.00/pair that seemed to help a little bit for a little while. I could only walk for about 30-60 minutes in my special shoes before I had to sit down and rest.
I saw an advertisement in the newspaper for your laser therapy and decided to give it a try. I had my first treatment on October 12, 2007. I had immediate relief. I received 4 more treatments over the next two weeks and have been pain-free ever since. I am so glad I tried the laser. Now I can wear the shoes I want, when I want, without any pain.
